Military

The SAI 6 division outside Grahamstown is a fully functioning military base. A specialised training programme at the base saw a group of roughly 300 soldiers move onto the premises for 2 months of intensive training. The soldiers are volunteers who chose to apply for a course equipping them in the skill of air assault. This short course in Grahamstown enabled a fleeting view into the life of a soldier. View

Tulbagh goes Dutch: 8 -9 April 2006

The 'Tulbagh goes Dutch’ festival is a celebration of the Dutch heritage of the small Western Cape town of Tulbagh, South Africa. The festival is in its fifth year and attracts a variety of people. Although it is still relatively small, there are a number of attractions ranging from cheese stalls, to puppet shows and belly dancing. View
